The Mansfield Group are an approved training Centre for the IVR with three members of Senior Management holding training qualifications that allow them to complete training for the IVR externally and one of our depot managers is qualified as an internal trainer for our company.

We were one of the first independant vehicle recovery companies to put their roadside repair technicians through ATA training and gain the highest accreditation in this field.

At our Training Academy we continuously offer refresher courses and focus on developing all roadside technicians to achieve qualifications to be competent in operating vehicles and improve safety awareness and best working practices across the industry.

- Trainees should arrive on site for registration at the pre-agreed time.
- All practical work will be ‘hands-on’ exercises and the trainees will be continually assessed while on the course.
- A reasonable level of physical fitness is required as the course involves a certain amount of bending, kneeling and lifting during the practical work. Therefore students must be fit and able to cope with these activities.
- As well as practical work there will be further training and discussion in the classroom and an examination.
- Passing the examination is not a formality. For Certification, 100% attendance is required (HSE Regulations).
- DRUGS OR ALCOHOL ABUSE IS NOT TOLERATED
In addition, students attending courses with practical exercises MUST bring with them the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
- Hard Hat / Safety Helmet
- Reflective Jacket
- Overalls / Uniform
- Safety Footwear
- Wet Weather Clothing
- Gloves
PLEASE NOTE THAT, WITHOUT ALL OF THE ABOVE, TRAINEES CANNOT TAKE PART IN THE COURSE.
OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES WILL NOT BE SUSPENDED BECAUSE OF BAD WEATHER
